அஷ்டமாநாகங்களுள் பூமியைக் கிழக்குப்புறத்துத் தாங்கும் நாகம். மலையாமை மேல்வைத்து வாசுகியைச் சுற்றி (திவ். இயற். நான்மு. 49). A divine serpent believed to support the earth in the east, one of aṣṭa-mā-nākam, q.v.;
[vācuki] ''s.'' One of the eight serpents fabled to support the earth--also said to be used as a rope round Mount Mandara in churning the sea of milk. See under நாகம். W. p. 756. VASUKI.
