[vaciṭṭaṉ ] --வசிஷ்டன், ''s.'' [''also'' வதிட் டன்.] Vasishta, a ''Rishi'' of the first order. See முனி, எ. W. p. 742. VASISHT'HA. 2. Family-priest of மருத்துராசன். (ராமா. 17.)- ''Note.'' Vasishta is termed பிரமன்மானதபுத்திரன், son of the mind of Brahma and கோவணன்; also ranked as one of the seven stars of Ursa major.
