முகூர்த்தம், s. a propitious hour or fixed time for solemnizing a wedding etc., சுபவேளை; 2. a division of time, 48 minutes. முகூர்த்தம் வைக்க, to fix an auspicious hour for marriage. முகூர்த்த விசேஷம், the good effect of a propitious time.

[''com.'' முழுத்தம்.] An auspicious hour, &c., astrologically fixed for a wedding, laying the foundation of a building, &c., சுபவேளை. முகூர்த்தத்திலேதிருமங்கிலியந்தரிக்கவேணும். The wedding badge must be tied at the auspi cious time astrologically fixed. முகூர்த்தந்தப்பிப்போயிற்றா. Is the auspicious time passed?
