(& IV. poet.) v. i. exceed, surpass, increase, be abundant, அதிகரி; 2. remain, be superfluous. மிக, மிகவும், very much, abundantly. மிகல், மிகுதல், v. n. increasing, becoming great. மிகன்மக்கள், the great (நீதிநெறி). மிகு, adj. great. மிகுந்த, adj. part. much, great. மிகுந்திருக்க, (contr. மீந்திருக்க) to be too much or in excess, to remain. மிகை, v. n. & s. abundance; 2. sorrow, affliction; 3. fault, error; 4. trouble. மிக்க, adj. part. overmuch, superior. மிக்கு, v. n. greatness, superiority. மிக்கோர், men to knowledge, superior men.
