II. v. i. die, perish, சா; 2. vanish, be annihilated, மறை. மாய்வு, மாய்ச்சல், v. n. death; 2. a shelter.
VI. v. t. kill, கொல்; 2. destroy, reduce to nothing, அழி; 3. hide, மறை. சீவனை மாய்த்துக்கொள்ள, to kill one's self. மாய்த்தல், மாய்ப்பு, v. n. destroying, killing; 2. hiding.

ஆச்சா.

[māy] கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், மாய, ''v. n.'' To die, perish, &c., சாக. 2. To vanish, be annihilated, be terminated, ஒழிய, மறைய. களிறுமாய்கழனி. A field with crop [high enough] to hide an elephant. ''(p.)'' கொடுக்கமாட்டாமல்மாய்கிறான். He would ra ther die than give.
