Dictionary Meaning of மணியம்

கிராமம், கோயில், மடம் முதலியவற்றை மேற்பார்க்கும் வேலை. துர்ச்சனர் தமக்கேற்ற மணியம் (அறப். சத. 49). Office of the village headman, employed as a revenue subordinate of the Sirkar for which he holds a māṉiyam or receives payment; superintendence of temples, mutts, palaces, custom-houses, etc.;
