Dictionary Meaning of புஞ்சவனம்

ஆண்மகவாய்ப்பிறக்கவேண்டுமென்ற நோக்கத்தோடு கருப்பஸ்திரீக்கு நான்கு , ஆறு அல்லது எட்டாவது மாதத்திற் செய்யப்படுவதான சடங்கு. இருது சங்கமனம் கருப்பாதானம் புஞ்சவனம் (திருவானைக். கோச்செங்.14). Ceremony performed in the fourth, sixth or eighth month of pregnancy of a woman, with a view to have a male child;
