- பிராமணவசிஷ்டநியாயம் pirāmaṇa-vaciṣṭa-niyāyamn. < id. + vasiṣṭha +. Nyāya of the Brahmins and Vasiṣṭha, whereby an individual is honoured by being separated from a group though he himself belongs to it, as naming Vasiṣṭha separately from Brahmins; `பிராமணர் வந்தார், வசிட்டரும் வந்தார்' என் றாற்போல ஓரினத்தைக் கூறி யவ்வினத்துள் ஒன் றைத் தலைமைபற்றி வேறெடுத்துக்கூறும் நியாயம்.
