Dictionary Meaning of நச்செழுத்து

பிரபந்தத்தின் முதற்சொல் மங்கலமொழியல் லாதவிடத்து அதிமொழிகக்கண் வருதற்கு ஆகாதனவென்று விலக்கபடும் ய், ர், ல், ள், யா, ரா, லா, ளா, யோ, ரோ, லோ, ளோ, ஃ, மகரக்குறுக்கம் அளபெடை ஆகிய எழத்துக்கள். (இலக்.வி.780) (Poet.) Inauspicious letters like y, r, l, ḷ, yā, rā, lā, lā, yō, rō, lō, ḷō, ḵ, makara-k-kuṟukkam and aḷapeṭai, which should not be found in the initial word other than maṅkalamoḷi of a poem;

''s.'' Letters which may be so placed, in poetic composition, as to be considered ominous; as in the first word of the poem, or other important places, they are, ய, ர, ள, யா, யோ, ரா, லா, லோ, also உயிரளபெடை, ஒற்றளபெடை, மகரக்கு றுக்கம், and ஆய்தக்குறுக்கம்.
