Dictionary Meaning of தாப்பிசை

செய்யுளின் இடையிலுள்ள மொழி முன்னும்பின்னுஞ் சென்று கூடும் பொருள்கோள். (நன்.416.) A mode of construing a word in the middle of a verse both with what precedes and what follows it, one of eight poruḷ-kōl, q.v.;

தாப்பிசைப் பொருள்கோள், s. (தாம்பு+இசை) one of the eight ways of constructing verse, by which a word in the middle is connected with the end and with the beginning.

[tāppicai ] --தாப்பிசைப்பொருள் கோள், ''s.'' (''a compound of'' தாம்பு and இசை.) One of the eight methods of constructing verse, by which a word in the middle is connected both with the end and begin ning, from the idea of a swing--as உ ண்ணாமையுள்ளதுயிர்நிலை ஊனுண்ண அண்ணாத்தல் செய்யாதளறு, if not eaten, the bodies of some animals will retain their lives. The hell that swallows a flesh eater will never open its mouth to let him out. Here ஊன், is the connecting word, ஓர்பொருள்கோள்.
