Dictionary Meaning of சமவாயம்

கூட்டம். (சூடா.) 1. Assemblage, collection, aggregate;
சன்னிகரிடம் ஆறனுள் சாதி வியக்திகட்கும், குணகுணிசட்கும், அவயவ அவயவிகட்கும், கருத்தா கருமங்கட்கும் உள்ள பிரிவில்லாச் சம்பந்தம். சமவாயமென்னும் வடமொழி தமிழில் நீக்கமின்றிநிற்றல் என மொழிபெயர்த்து வழங்கப்படும் (சி. போ. சிற். 2, 4). (Log.) Intimate relation, as that of a genus and its species, quality and its object, a part and the whole, action and the agent, etc., one of six caṉṉikariṭam, q.v.;

assemblage, multitude, கூட் டம்; 2. (logic) relation of a species to its genus, or of a part to the whole or of an action to the agent சம்பந்தம்.
