III. v. t. dig round with a stick or rod, கிண்டு; 2. eat and spread like a cancer, irritate, அரி, எனக்கு வயிற்றைக் கெல்லுகிறது, I feel an irritation in the stomach. கெல்லி யெடுக்க, to grub up, to dig out. கெல்லுக்கம்பு, a stick for grubbing up the earth.

[kellu] கிறேன், கெல்லினேன், வேன், கெல்ல, ''v. a.'' [''prop.'' கல்லு.] To dig round the roots of plants, to grub up; to wash or wear away gradually; to eat--as a can cer, or caustic. 2. ''[prov.]'' To irritate or corrode, and waste the stomach--as ex cessive stimulus, &c.
