[kppu] ''s.'' A forked branch, கவர்க் கொம்பு. 2. A branch in general, கிளை. 3. A post rather slender, தூண். 4. A com position used for dyeing the hair black, மயிர்க்கூட்டுஞ்சாயம்.
[kppu] கிறேன், கப்பினேன், வேன், கப்ப, ''v. n. [vul.]'' To overspread--as the clouds, மூடிக்கொள்ள. 2. [''prov.'' கம்முதல்.] To eat, உண்ண. அவல்பலகப்பியகரிமுகனடிபேணி. Worship ping the feet of the elephant-faced Ganesa who eats bruised rice, &c. (திருப்பு.)
