Dictionary Meaning of கணப்பொருத்தம்

செய்யுண்முதன் மொழிப்பொருத்தவகை.(வெண்பாப். முதன். 20.) 1. (Poet.) Rule of propriety which lays down that the first word in a poem shall be one of nir-k-kaṇam, mati-k-kaṇam, intira-kaṇam , or nila-k-kaṇam , one of ten ceyyuṇmutaṉ- moḻi-p-poruttam , q. v;
கலியாணப் பொருத்தங்களுள் ஒன்று. (சோதிட. சிந். 195.) 2. (Astrol.) Correspondence between the horoscopes of the prospective bride and bridegroom in respect of the three kaṇams, viz., tēva-kaṇam, irāṭata-kaṇam, māṉuṭa-kaṇam, one of ten kaliyāṇa-p-poruttam, q. v.,;
