Dictionary Meaning of ஓங்கு

III. v. i. be high, rise high, உயரு; 2. shoot up, grow high வளர்; 3. mount, soar, எழும்பு; 4. be exalted, dignified, பெருமையுறு; 5. increase in wealth etc. flourish, அதிகாரி; 6. vomit, சத்திசெய்; 7. v. t. lift up, raise the arm, stick etc. உயர்த்து. ஓங்கல், height, elevation, rising, vomiting. ஓங்கலானது, ஓங்கினது; that which is high. ஓங்கிப்பார்க்க, to stand on tiptoe and look. ஓங்கியடிக்க, to raise the hand, stick etc., strike. ஓங்கியசெல்வம், abounding wealth. ஓங்கியிருக்க, to be high. ஓங்கிவளர், to grow high, to increase in wealth, to prosper.

[ōngku] கிறேன், ஓங்கினேன், வேன், ஓங்க, ''v. a.'' To lift up, raise the arm, a weapon, a pestle, கையோங்க. 2. ''v. n.''
