ஒற்றுமுன்னும் உயிர் பின்னுமாயிணைந்து ஒலிக்குமெழுத்து. ஒற்றுமுன்னாய்வரு முயிர்மெய் (நன். 89). Consonant-vowel-composed of a consonant and a vowel-in the written charcter of which the vowel animates the consonantal sound whose articulation always preceds in pronunciation, one of ten cārpeḻuttu, q.v.;
