Grammatical combination of two words of which the first is undeclined by case, opp. to வேற்றுமைப் புணர்ச்சி, of 14 kinds, viz.,

The agree ment of two words of which the first is undeclined by case; of this there are fourteen kinds; ''viz.'': 1. வினை, verbs, as கொல்யானை. 2. பண்பு, adjective, as கருங்கு வளை. 3. உவமை, comparison, as மதிமுகம். 4. உம், the words having the particle உம் supressed, as இராப்பகல். 5. அன்மொ ழி, the words having the பயனிலை sup pressed, &c., as பொற்றொடி. 6. எழுவாய், nominative, as கொற்றன்வந்தான். 7. விளி, vocative, as கொற்றாகொள். 8. பெயரெச்சம், relative participle, as உண்டசாத்தன். 9. வினையெச்சம், verbal participle, as உண்டு போனான். 1. தெரிநிலைவினைமுற்று, a de clarative verb in the terminative form, as உண்டான்சாத்தன். 11. குறிப்புமுற்று, a sup pressed verb in the terminative form, as குழையன்கொற்றன். 12. இடை, conjunction, preposition and interrogation or parti ciple and expletive, as அணங்குகொல். 13. உரி, adjective and adverb, as நனிபே தை. 14. அடுக்கு, repetition, as பாம்புபாம்பு.
