Dictionary Meaning of அறத்துறுப்பு

ஐப்படாமை, விருப்பின்மை, வெறுப்பின்மை, மயக்கமின்மை, பழியை நீக்கல், அழிந்தோரை நிறுத்தல், அறம்விளக்கல், பேரன்புடைமை. (சூடா.) Constituent parts of virtue of which the principal are eight, viz.,

அறத்தினது அங்கம்.

''s.'' The attributes or constituent parts of charity or virtue, in cluding dispositions and actions. Eight are given; ''viz.'': 1. ஐயப்படாமை, being void of doubt or scepticism. 2. விருப் பின்மை, freedom from covetousness or of inordinate desire for any supposed good. 3. வெறுப்பின்மை, freedom from disgust. 4. மயக்கமின்மை, being void of perplexity. 5. பழியை நீக்கல், avoiding reproaches, be ing void of censoriousness. 6. அழிந்தோ ரைநிறுத்தல், relieving the distressed or ruined. 7. அறம்விளக்கல், bringing into light the nature of benefaction and ex pounding it. 8. பேரன்புடைமை, the pos session of abundant love.
